John Whitaker is a writer and photographer whose work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Scalawag, and The St. Petersburg Times, in Russia. He focuses on challenges to democracy in the United States and abroad.
He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Comparative Literature, and from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism with a Master of Science and Master of Arts.
